‘Twinkle, twinkle; little star, how I wonder what you are’. We all get too tired of thinking, don’t we? Nakakapagod pero what if someone does the thinking for us? AI can do just that. What our ancestors predicted was somehow true na baka mga robots na ang papalit satin. AI would be an answer to all our wonders. Though what I propose is a whole other type of learning, it is self-directed learning or SDL. SDL changes the vision of the traditional education scene with AI as the main instrument. With AI support, we are able to overcome the wonders of what is new.
‘Up above the world so high, like a diamond in the sky.’AI is now our star that gleams so brightly brought upon us by modern technology. AI can give information in a snap. This efficiency provided by real-time knowledge being presented can save time and energy. These modern advancements in technology allow us students to be empowered with the amount of information we have in our hands. We can apply this knowledge to real-life choices which will let us know our careers according to our goals.
A problem kasi with the traditional school system is that it assumes that students all learn in a uniform way. Kaya naman, AI opens up new possibilities for learning where each student’s needs are accommodated. AI can provide students with a variety of learning resources and modalities to suit each and everyone’s diverse learning styles (George, 2023).
The best benefit that I can think of is that it makes education accessible to everyone. Mas napapadali ang distance learning. May mga kababayan tayo that live far away from their schools. Also, let us not forget the fact that the Philippines is a multilingual country, languages can clash and sometimes create barriers to learning. Add to that the dialect of which the person comes. AI systems can help in language building and adjusting (UP Diliman, 2021). These tools can help bridge the gap between instructional materials delivered in the national language or Filipino and the various regional languages spoken by students, ensuring that every student is included.
