I'm Spencer Belson, a high school senior from Massachusetts. I consider myself a lover of all things outdoors, but especially fish. When I'm not in school, running, or swimming, you'll can probably find me on the water. Fishing is my way of connecting with the natural world. Through my passion for fishing, I have been introduced to the overall field of aquatic conservation, which is especially relevant to a region as rich in water resources as New England. During my frequent fishing outings, I constantly find myself examining and appreciating the ecosystem as a whole. This is why I have decided to focus on a topic that centers my interest in aquatic conservation to a location with which all students at Andover High can relate: the Shawsheen River.
