Hey! I have been an impassioned advocate for human rights and have made strives to create a better community for myself and for those around me. Due to this interest, I want to study the societal effects of homelessness. One possible avenue of thought could be to explore the relationship between the lack of affordable housing in Massachusetts and the ongoing homelessness crisis in our state. I am involved in an organization called Project 351, which is a statewide leadership and service organization that seeks to transform communities through service and community engagement. One of the main populations that Project 351 serves is those experiencing homelessness in Massachusetts, which I have helped with through clothing drives, food collections, and by volunteering at local homeless shelters. This experience, as well as my mom's influence as a former director of a homeless shelter, has led me to feel passionately about serving and helping individuals experiencing homelessness.
