Web Design
This course taught me how to design and develop my own website. I learned basic coding in HTML and how to make a web platform that is visually pleasing and easy to navigate. The aesthetics and accessibility of a platform are universally important because it determines how long the user will stay on the website and how likely they are to return to the website. In an increasingly digital world, these skills are very valuable. By creating and publishing my own website, I was able to share something I am passionate about with people worldwide.

Students investigate the history and present-day political and social situations of some of the diverse groups of Latinos in the United States. Students will explore the theme of Immigration, and connect and explore their own cultural identity. Latinos in the USA gave me perspective on the Latinx and Hispanic identity through projects, documentaries, and discussions. We studied various prominent issues in the Latinx community such as colorism, immigration, and healthcare. AP PSYCHOLOGY: This course introduces students to the systematic and scientific study of human behavior and mental process. While considering the psychologists and studies that have shaped the field, students explore and apply psychological theories, key concepts, and phenomena associated with such topics as the biological bases of behavior, sensation and perception, learning and cognition, motivation, developmental psychology, testing and individual differences, treatments of psychological disorders, and social psychology. Throughout the course, students employ psychological research methods, including ethical considerations, as they use the scientific method, evaluate claims and evidence, and effectively communicate ideas. One of my favorite units was Social Psychology, which looked at thoughts, feelings, and behaviors as being impacted by other individuals as well as by internalized social norms. This course helped me expand my global lens by showing me the basis behind human interactions.
