Client Project: Airlie

Prof. Menke Fish's COMM-105 class is an "experiential learning class", which means the students are given hands-on opportunities based around the course material. This class had the opportunity to work with Airlie Berkshire Farm as our class client and we ended up helping Airlie rebrand and find new engaging ways to connect with AU students, staff, and families.

On September 27th, the COMM-105 class loaded up on a bus and headed out to Warrenton, VA. When we got there, we were welcomed with open arms and shown the famous Berkshire hogs as well as the angus cattle.

After hanging out with the hogs and cattle, we were shown the produce garden and butterfly garden. Across a stretch of 20 acres, Airlie grows fresh produce such as lettuce, squash, and onions.

After taking hundreds of photos, the COMM-105 class loaded back up, brimming with ideas about how to help Airlie.
