Hi, I'm Lauren Gersten! 

I am a current sophomore at American University studying public relations and legal studies.

I have always had a passion for photography and film, which is the reason I decided to expand my knowledge and take COMM-105 with Sarah Menke Fish. 

I casually would take photos and would create movies/videos during high school but never persued those passions until this class. I took this originally to have an outlet and a reason to do photography but I came away with so much more. Through this course, I have deepened my understanding of photography and editing as well as filming, editing and scripting. I learned more tricks to use when editing photos in Adobe Lightroom as well as how to create captions for videos in Premier Pro. This class has given me more confidence in my skills that I plan to bring into the professional world.
