There are currently 314 e-sports programs and investments up to 750 million dollars just in 2017; Including the sponsors would go up another 250 million. We can estimate that 1.5 billion was contributed to colleges and teams alone. There are colleges like Albright college that have already Implemented this program, falling under programs the likes of prominent sports. With interest in e-sports growing at an alarming rate through YouTube, Twitch, and in-person/online Tournaments. For example, Nationally speaking, e-sports viewership tops 27 million watches e-sports during 2014, and the NBA peaked at 15.5 million that year. People and colleges have been invested in the program more than ever, recognizing e-sports can improve life skills development: management, teamwork, work ethic, and even camaraderie and sportsmanship.

Each year, the Adobe Design Achievement Awards are presented for up to $5,000 to college students aged 18 years or older enrolled in an accredited higher learning institution who enter a unique design project in the categories of web design, game art and design, digital publishing, animation, motion graphics, photography, illustration, or print communications. The eSports Club at Maryville University provides a competitive, yet friendly online gaming environment.
