As a PR staffer, I felt it best to create a logo that matches this year's "brand." In this case, the EICs (Editors in Chief) wanted our section to include and create the theme utilizing this year's colors to emulate the 2024 yearbook through our Instagram, videos, etc. So, I created this logo, which represented this almost simplistic version of a 3D "M" with a book-like appearance with our colors.
Semester 1 Sophomore year
Starting the 2024 year, I created the concept of "MYUs." M.Y.U. stands for Marquee Weekly Updates. I did this for us to be constantly updating our school because that is a great way to keep engagement on our page. The entire point was to give an overview of the previous week or the upcoming week. So far, the idea burned out, but I want to make an effort to reinforce it because I believe it will benefit our engagement on social media.
Semester 1 Sophomore year
This is a very pertinent time during the year because it is when we have to be well informed and organized, and relay information to the Student Body, more specifically the juniors/ incoming seniors. Senior yearbook portraits differ from other yearbook photos in the book because it is meant to be the students best photo yet, so in order to create flow and progress, I was asked to create an Instagram post that would relay the important information in a way that everyone feels well informed, and there is no confusion. Overall this post really aided the efficiency of photo day, and decreased the amount of mishaps over the course of the two days. If I could do it again, I would want to make it a little bit more concise, so that it is easier on the eyes, maybe split it into multiple slides rather than just one.
Semester 2 Sophomore Year
This reflects the more interactive content we used to have, where students could see themselves in the book and also show admiration for the Marquee Yearbook overall. There was a lot of interaction with these pages, and it was a unique way to show faces, which resulted in people engaging with our content. This was one of our initiatives because we wanted to showcase more of our work on social media.
