I am proud to be the sponsor of the Freshman Mentoring Program at West Boca High.  For many students, coming to high school is a big moment in there lives and can be a challenging change at first. Our club format, based on the Stanford Mentoring Program, is meant to give students the extra support, encouragement while meeting some upper classmen to help them through this transition.  

As an English teacher, a mom of four and a foster Mom, I understand some of the outside challenges that students can experience and enjoy watching students grow through their connection with peers.   Through my education at American University in Washington, D.C., my many years in education, and my own kids, I have found that we all work better in community.  

Hello! My name is Samantha Frohman and I am the President of the Freshman Mentoring Program. I am currently a sophomore at West Boca High School. I enjoy dancing and reading! When I am older, I aspire to be a Sports Medicine Physician. I am so excited to help the new students of West Boca to achieve their best abilities possible. 

Hi! My name is Lia and I'll be your Secretary and one of your Vice Presidents this year. Currently I am a sophmore at West Boca Highschool. I like to read and play beach volleyball. After high school I want to pursue a career in anesthesiology. I am excited to help out the new students and guide them with knowledge from my experience last year. 

Hi! My name is Julianna Zalkin and I'm one of the Vice Presidents of the Freshmen Mentoring Program. I'm currently a sophomore at West Boca. Some of my hobbies are playing tennis, pilates and skating. In the future, I wish to pursue a career in either medicine or business. I am looking forward to getting to know new students and helping them succeed in high school.

Hello! My name is Luke Mason and I am one of two Social Media Coordinators for FMP. I work with Jeein Park to run FMP's social media accounts and other basic media duties. I am a sophomore at West Boca High. I love playing baseball and researching science. After my education, I want to play baseball professionally. I can't wait to lend a hand to new, incoming students at the school!

Hello! I am Sienna Watts a Sophomore at West Boca Raton High School. I am a very active member in the school community as I am involved in several clubs including: Dance Marathon, Key Club, and HOSA. I am in the medical academy and pursuing both my AICE and AP diplomas, so I have developed study habits and time management skills suited to my work load. West Boca quickly became my happy place last year, and I would be honored to offer any helpful advice to make that true for this year's Freshman class. 

Hello. My name is The'Onree Sv Dukes and I am the science specialist of FMP. I can help students in a multitude of academic fields, though. I'm currently a Sophomore at West Boca High School and I play football. I love to play games and watch shows, but with the burden of work, it seems as if I haven't done those things in a while. I currently don't have plans for the future, but to live comfortably alone. I'm the easiest to get along with in FMP and I can guarantee new students my support.

Hey! I'm David Stanescu and I'm one of the science, history, and math specialists on FMP. I'm a sophomore at West Boca and number 1 in the class. I love anything related to computer science and tennis. I'm passionate about doing everything to my best capability and hope to share the same with you guys!

Hi there, my name is Cameron Leon and I am the Math Specialist for the West Boca Freshman Mentoring Program. I am currently in my sophomore year at West Boca High School. If you are wondering about my math experience, I received a 5 on the Geometry and Algebra 1 exams and I have always had a passion towards math. Because my love for this subject has always been strong, I love to explain every concept in depth, but I feel that I can be very helpful to a wide variety of learners because if you need the concepts to be simplified, I can be flexible and I will not stop until you are able to understand every difficult concept to the best of your abilities. Our jobs as specialists are to serve as almost extensions of the teachers and to help our fellow bulls through any challenge.
