My goal with this post was to create an uniterruppted flow to pull viewers through the story. District tracking was a very information dense article but by boiling the text included in the post down to just the most interesting segments I tried to pique peoples interest and encourage them to visit the website for more context. 

Team building activities were crucial for both my photo sections when I was photo editor and are eaually crucial now that I am EIC.  Besides the obvious fun, I've found that doing things not for the sake of any deadline, but just to get to know one another and bond, facilitates greater growth both as an editor and for my staffers, and it helps ensure that they feel comfortable coming to me with issues and problems that they might have just tried to deal with themselves instead.  Certain activities, such as our marshmallow spaghetti building challlange, also can impart a lesson about the nature of team work and collaberation.
