In this club, our main purpose is to educate, increase awareness, and fight food insecurity. We plan on having several meetings in which guest speakers from local organizations will give presentations about their organizations and will explain how they help alleviate food insecurity. We will also have community service opportunities both inside and outside of school. These potential opportunities include food drives, feeding the homeless on Thanksgiving, food pantries, and volunteering in soup kitchens. Because of recent inflation in the economy, supply chain issues, and a rise in unemployment, food insecurity has sky-rocketed in South Florida, making it more imperative than ever to take action.
Guided by the fundamental principles of the American Red Cross and its mission to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors, the Dreyfoos Red Cross Club will learn, practice and exemplify humanitarian values through mission-related service projects. The Club will plan and coordinate a minimum of three Red Cross mission-related service projects per year. The service projects will focus on blood, fundraising, education and preparedness, International Humanitarian Law, and social engagement.

The Quantum House Ambassadors Club is a group of passionate people wanting to spread kindness during personal hard times. Kids from all over the world go to St.Mary’s Hospital to receive life-changing treatments. Instead of staying in the hospital, they live at the Quantum House with their families. During the holidays, we want to create memorable memories and lift their spirits during hard times. Two times a year, we will visit the Quantum House after school and decorate cookies with the kids while celebrating a holiday. Being able to interact with the kids is something one easily underestimates. Simply by hanging out for a few hours can make everyone's month. When we cannot visit in person, the Quantum House Ambassadors club will be taking part in on-campus (once a month lunch meetings) activities whether that is making positive cards, friendship bracelets, stuffed animals, and so much more. After these events, the presidents will drop everything made at the Quantum House for all of the kids. Occasionally, we will be running household supply drives on the side with our meetings. We want to make this hard time in their lives the best we can.
