Robotics
The FIRST Robotics Challenge (FRC) robotics club is a team competition, where students get six weeks to design, build, and program a robot that has to compete against five other robots in competition. I have participated in FRC since the beginning of my Sophomore year, but before that, I participated in the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics club for two years in middle school.
FBLA
I participated in FBLA during my freshman year of high school. FBLA, short for Future Business Leaders of America, helps high school students prepare for careers in business through academic competitions and educational programs.
Speech and Debate
I started debating the summer before sophomore year. Speech and Debate is a competitive club that helps students prepare for and get comfortable with debating in public. It introduces you to different forms of debating, like Lincoln Douglas and Congress, and speech, like Extemporaneous speaking.
Orchestra
I have participated in Orchestra since the fourth grade. In orchestra, we are required to attend after-school rehearsals, and practice music for performances and UIL Competitions.
Mu Alpha Theta
I have participated in Mu Alpha Theta since the second semester of my sophomore year. Mu Alpha Theta is a math honor society club.
STEM Ambassadors
I have been a member of the STEM Ambassadors since the second semester of sophomore year. STEM Ambassadors is a leadership organization at STEM that focuses on the support and representation of STEM.Â
Cyberpatriots
I have been in Cyberpatriots since 8th grade. It is a team competition, where students act as white hat hackers to fix problems within a Virtual Operating System.
NHS
I joined the National Honor Society in the 1st semester of my Junior year and have strived to remain an active participant in the club.
