Welcome to my Favorite Things web page. This page includes all the title screens and photos I used in the My Favorite Things video. I custom made everything in the video (not including the photos).

231030 My Favorite Things - Galilea Velez (FINAL).mp4

This is the intro for the My Favorite Things video. I used strokes and shadows to make the text legible and pretty. I used the gradient tool to make the background.

This is the my first category in the My Favorite Things video. I used strokes and glows to make the text legible because the text gradient and the background look very similar. I also added a cool warp effect on the text.

This is the second category in the My Favorite Things video. I used strokes to make the text legible. I added a cool zebra design to match with the animal topic.

This is the third category in the My Favorite Things video. I used strokes, glows, and shadows to make the text legible. I added a cool water design to match the drinks topic.

For the "My Favorite Things" title screen, I used the gradient tool and decided to go with a simple design because it had been my first time using Adobe Photoshop for anything.

For the "Food" title screen, I used the gradient tool to make a smooth red to yellow transition. I decided to put the same gradient on the text and with the help of the glow, stroke, and bevel / emboss tools. I managed to make the text legible and not blend in with the background.

For the "Animals" title screen, I used the gradient tool but on difference mode and radial mode. This created a cool green circle design.

For the "Drinks" title screen, I used the gradient tool on difference mode and used radial mode with liner. This created a cool background with a lot of slices and cool colors.

This image carousel shows you all the images I used in the My Favorite Things video. If you don't know what one of the images are, there's small captions under each image showing what it is. It was hard to find high resolution photos (good pictures) but I managed to.

Adobe Photoshop : This is the software I used to edit the images and title screens. I used the Bevel / Emboss effect to make my text look shiny and 3D. I used the stroke effect to outline my text and make it legible (easily readable). I used the drop shadow effect to make the text look like it's floating over the background.

Adobe Premiere Pro : This is the software I used to make the video. I added captions with the Cross Fade transition, so the text fades onto the screen and then fades out. The transitions I used were Cross Dissolve, Clock Wipe, Iris Round, Wipe, Cross Zoom, VR Iris Wipe, and Film Dissolve.

Adobe After Effects : This is the software I used to animate the background of my credits. The effects I used were CC Flo Motion, Corner Pin, Bulge, Turbulent Displace, and Ripple. CC Flo Motion adds two "knots" that pull in or out the background. Corner Pin expanded the background so that there wasn't random black spots. Bulge adds a big circle that looks like if you put a magnifying glass to the photo. Turbulent Displace twists and turns the background. Ripple adds an effect that looks like the background was water and a drop of water fell in.
