This page shows all of the work I did in the 2nd grading period. This grading period, we are using Adobe Illustrator! Adobe Illustrator looks intimidating at first, but it's easy once you get the hang of it. It's like Adobe Photoshop 2.0 basically. This program allows you to create unique shapes!

This is my Sample Graphic of circles in circles (basically). This was our first graphic we made in Adobe Illustrator. There is a picture below of what I did for an optional challenge! We made this using the line tool, and the ellipse tool. We made it fill in the circles by using the gradient tool. To make the darker area appear around the circle, we used the radial type. You can increase the thickness of the darkness! But you have to do it like in the photo.

We did this by recycling our Sample Graphic file (copying it and pasting it then renaming). We opened the file, and we deleted the lines we drew. We then scaled down the circle, and held ALT, and clicked on the circle and dragged it next to the original circle. This duplicates it in a easier way. We then went to Edit > Edit Colors > Recolor Artwork, then we had this color wheel we could move these dots around with. These dots control the color of your circles. At first, you have it on linked. Which means all the dots are linked, and if you move one dot it moves all the others. For the first circle, I scaled the dots down which made it pastely ish. For the rest, I didn't use the linked feature. Which should explain why most of the circles colors aren't similar!

P.S. The backgrounds on the back of the section is to show the images are transparent.

This is my first Experiment with Adobe Illustrator! I made this by using the curvature tool to first draw out my shape, and then I went on to thicken the stroke. I used the "Pucker and Bloat" effect to make it look like a starfish-ish! After that, I filled the inside with red, and I went to Effect > Stylize > Inner Glow. I thickened the glow and made it purple! I deleted some anchor points and adjusted some others. The image next to this text is the final product.

This is my emoji! I did this by reusing our Sample Graphic and using the yellow circle to make just a little yellow face. Then, I reused and recolored the other circles in the Sample Graphic to make the eye! To make the mouth, I used the curvature tool to make it look like a smile. I then duplicated it and made it smaller, and re-adjusted the anchor points to fit the mouth. I made the eyebrows using that one curvature tool. I thickened it and then used one of Adobes amazing features (which I don't remember) but it was in the Stylize options. We made an animation of it and added a body! To see, scroll down.

Here is the animation! After Effects is a very helpful motion graphics app. It can also be used for animation, but I would more so recommend Adobe Animate for animating stuff. Anywho, I made the head bobble by creating keyframes where the head would rotate left and right. But without Easy Ease, it doesn't look very good. So, Right Click on Keyframe > Keyframe Assistant > Easy Ease. After Effects tweens for you, but uses Classic Ease, which makes it look weird. Luckily, we can choose from different Eases! Easy Ease, Ease In, and Ease Out. I also keyframed the body so it looked like it was dancing. I made the eyes bounce by using the Scale keyframe, and then I keyframed it getting slightly bigger after the pop in. I AGAIN used Easy Ease to make it look like it just bounces in.

This is a 3D glossy looking emoji that I made with Adobe Illustrator! This is all in fact digital art. At first, it was just a face with 2 stars and a mouth with no black strokes on the outline. I managed to get that 3D effect, and it's really cool! I made this for the fun of it, because I love 3D stuff!

This is my OG monster when I first drew it in ELAR. At the time, I didn't know we were going to animate it in Multimedia. But now I know, and it was super fun creating the monster in Illustrator, animating it in after effects, etc. We used these prefixes, suffixes, no idea what it's called, but thats what we used to name our monster in ELAR.

This is a more enhanced version of the original picture. We used Photoshop to enhance the photo. I used the level effect, and some other effects I can't remember lol. I also scaled the Contrast to make it even more enhanced, so it looks like what your eye would see in real life with the paper.

This is the digital monster I drew by tracing the enhanced photo. I made this using the curvature tool, (bet ya tired of hearing that) and I used the Gradient tool to make the body look shiny a bit. I did use inner glow on the body but very little. I had to make it very low cause of the really big inner glow on that top right arm. I also did use the roughness effect to make it look like he had fur.

Here is my monster animation! I played around with the particle playground effect in AE CC (after effects) and I made it somewhat look like a laser beam shooting out of his hands. I also used the color correction tool (I think) to make it look kinda rainbow. I also used the puppet pin tool to make the monster move, because the body layer had the arms and everything on it besides the face.
