Naliana Williams - Android Apps

MIT App Inventor was created by students of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. As a way people who don't know how to code can learn through the website's tutorials. Mit App Inventor is a website that you can use to make different apps, and on there is tutorials for some apps that are really fun to use.

The reason why we did a Multi App was so we could learn more about all the blocks(which are basically actions that happen) uses and the way they can collaborate with each other.

The 4 beginner apps we did were Hello Kodi, Talk to Me, Ball Bounce, and Digital Doodle. We also created another one called Paint Pot, and that one is really complex so it will be at the end. All of the blocks actions will be explained with the images, but since Paint Pot has lots of blocks I will only explain the main ones.

These are the blocks for my Hello Kodi app. In MIT app inventor you have to make sure that everything is labeled. a fact about Mit app inventor is that whenever you are naming a component the names can't have spaces.

In order to get the image on the app screen to make sound when clicked I had to program the image to where if it was clicked then it must produce a sound. Then for the menu button, how is it a multi app if you can't even get out of one of the apps. That is why you will see the button menu on every app block image.

These are my Talk To Me app's blocks. To make sure it would talk when the Talk to Me button was clicked I programed the button to make sound when it was clicked, or for this version whatever is in the text box that is what the button will say. I had to add a hidden texttospeech componet to make sure the button will actually say something. To make the app a little bit more fun whenever you shake your phone, tablet, or whatever then the app will say, "Stop Shaking Me!". Then the same thing for the menu like I said for Hello Kodi.

Now you see I wasn't kidding about it being A LOT of blocks....😢 It did take a lot of work, but at least I didn't have to do it all at the same time.
