Written

For written events, there are three main categories - Business Operations Research Events, Project Management Events, and Entrepreneurship Events, each with various events within the categories. All written events can be competed in teams of 1-3, and are given the entire DECA season before State in order to write their paper and plan a presentation regarding their specific event. For Business Operations and Research Events and Project Management Events, a maximum of 20 pages are allowed, while for Entrepreneurship Events, a maximum of 10 pages are allowed. At the State competition, teams have 15 minutes in order to present their research to the judge, as well as turn in their written paper.
