About Me!

Hi! I am Riley Lewis and I have been a Hair and Makeup Designer for two years! I started as a sophomore and fell in love with the beauty of make up and placing your art that was imagined on someones face!

My Process!

I will always begin by reading, researching, and watching, if possible, the show I am designing for.
I will then meet with the costume lead to understand their vision and then collaborate on the color palate of each character.
After, I will start my face charts with anything I envision corresponding to colors, time period accuracy, character traits, and whatever comes to mind.
I then will get my designs approved and purchase an necessary specialty items to accomplish my designs.

My Process and Tech Week!

Tech week is my time to expirment. I will try different looks, develop initial designs and make sure that all actors are comfortable with the work I am doing on their faces.
After this, I fall into my pattern and groove of each design, hairstyle and any headpiece I have to work through.
One of my favorite things is having conversations with people while I'm getting them ready for the show. I love making people feel comfortable, seen, and feel ready to perform.
