A Midsummer Nights Dream

A Midsummer Nights Dream deals with the irrationality of love and its madness and addresses the fine line between imagination and reality.

Oberon

Oberon is the King of the Fairyland, so I wanted to add a earthy magical component to his makeup. We had extra leafs from my co- leads design for Tatania, which inspired the green leaf design that correlated with his costume.

Robin Goodfellow (Puck)

Robin Goodfellow or Puck fuels the story and has a mischievous nature. I wanted this design to be correlated with the fairies earth tones, so I decided to interoperate greens and the twig style eyeliner. I also created the headpiece wrapped in leafs mirrored by french braid half pig tails to extenuate the mischievous aspect.

Fairies

I wanted the fairies to be radiating golden colors, so I added fun starry white details on the outer edges of their eyes. I wanted to play into the magic and let the fairies being entrancing. I took heavy inspiration from their costume tops design.

Philostrate

Philostrate is the servant for the royalty of Athens. They are constantly serving the royalty so that was taken into consideration with their design. I choose a formal low bun to show the working environment and a natural makeup look to show the status of being a worker.

Hippolyta

Hippolyta is the Queen of Athens and full of a proud persona. I wanted her to look elite yet naturally beautiful. I added a heavier orange blush with the same tone lip. I also slicked back her front pieces so her naturally curls can be embraced while she stilled looked elite and her hair was away from her face.
