Mrs. Crosby earned her Bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Sciences, Secondary Education from Georgia Southern University and her Master’s degree in Adult and Career Education from Valdosta State University. She is currently pursuing her Specialist degree in Teacher Leadership from Georgia Southwestern State University. Mrs. Crosby has spent the past 18 years teaching the Early Childhood Education pathway and serving as an FCCLA Adviser. What she loves most about teaching and FCCLA is getting to support, encourage, and learn alongside the amazing students she works with every day.
Carly Redding - Nutrition and Food Science Pathway Teacher

This is Mrs Reddings 10th year teaching FACS and serving as an FCCLA adviser! She attended the University of Georgia, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Housing and Consumer Economics and a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) in Workforce Education. She teaches Food for Life and Food Science, and she loves FACS because it’s all about real-world skills students can actually use. Being an FCCLA adviser is one of her favorite roles—she loves watching students step out of their comfort zones, discover their leadership potential, build confidence, make new friends, and create unforgettable experiences through conferences, competitions, and travel.
Darby Sewell - Nutrition and Food Science Pathway Teacher

Dr. Sewell earned her bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Sciences Education and her master’s degree in Occupational Studies from the University of Georgia. She went on to earn her Ph.D. in Family and Consumer Sciences Education from Iowa State University. At Colquitt County High School, Dr. Sewell enjoys teaching courses in the Nutrition and Food Science pathway and serving as an FCCLA Adviser. She loves introducing students to new foods and recipes that they can make with their friends and families. She enjoys watching students grow into confident, active leaders both in and out of the classroom!
Katie Gay - Early Childhood Education Pathway Teacher

Mrs. Gay has been in education for 21 years with 14 years being in the classroom teaching Early Childhood Education pathway and Nutrition and Food Science Pathway as well as serving as an FCCLA Adviser, and 7 years as the Director of School Nutrition for Thomas County Schools. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Family Consumer Sciences, Secondary Education from Georgia Southern University, her Master's in Curriculum Instruction from Walden University, and her School Nutrition Certification from the University of Georgia. For her, the best thing about teaching FACS and FCCLA is providing real life experiences for her students to learn and grow into successful young adults.
