Community service is an important part of being involved in FCCLA. Throughout the year, our members enjoy giving back to the community while developing leadership skills and making a positive impact.
This year, FCCLA members volunteered at fall festivals at local elementary schools, helping create fun and welcoming events for younger students and their families. These opportunities allowed members to serve others while representing Colquitt County High School in a meaningful way.
FCCLA members also had the special opportunity to assist Ivy Odom Aponte, a proud CCHS FCCLA alumna, during her cookbook signing event held in our local community. The event celebrated the release of Ivy’s new cookbook and welcomed a large crowd of community members, family, and friends. During the event, FCCLA members played an important role by greeting guests and assisting with refreshments. It was a proud moment for our chapter to support one of our own and to see how the skills gained through FCCLA continue to shine beyond high school.
We love seeing our members represent CCHS through leadership, service, and school pride!
