Colquitt County High School FCCLA member, Liviya Williams, competed in the Preserve and Serve competition at the Georgia State Fall Leadership Conference, where she made Apple Jelly from scratch. While competing Liviya learned patience while cooking, plus social skills, and more.
Colquitt County High School FCCLA member Christiana Kinsey placed 1st overall in the Cupcake Decorating Contest. Through this competitive event, Christiana developed valuable skills she can carry into her future, including time management, creativity, and attention to detail.
A team of Colquitt County High School students—Alondra Torres-Hernandez, Melany Mendez, Michelle Cruz, Romeo Rosales, and Evelyn Velazquez—created a prize-winning recipe, Peanut Butter Mocha Bread, that won 1st Place in the the Level 2 Peanut Recipe Contest at the Georgia FCCLA Fall Rally held at the Georgia National Fair.
