There are many leadership opportunities to members of BPA. Here is a list of the leadership opportunities with a brief description of each. Follow the link to learn more.
- Torch Awards. This program is designed to promote professionalism and leadership in both career and personal growth. Members participate in chapter activities in seven different categories. By participating and documenting their participation, students receive recognition at the Regional, State, and National Levels.
- BPA Cares. This program is all about service. By participating in activities such as Community Service, Safety Awareness, Special Olympics, etc., members and chapters can earn National recognition.
- Student Certification Series. This program helps students become familiar with BPA and all the opportunities available to them. By participating in 6 webinars and completing assignments online, members will receive recognition at the National level.
- Life Skills Achievement Program. In partnership with Next Step Academy, students can continually receive online leadership training. By completing six online courses, members will earn a digital badge which can be displayed on a digital portfolio or other social media platforms.
- Michigan Awards. The Michigan Chapter of Business Professionals of America wants to recognize outstanding chapters. Chapters can earn recognitions through these programs: Chapter of the Year Award, Community Service Award, State Them & NLC Pine Graphic Contests, Barbara Chambers Outstanding Advisor Award. Students can also apply for scholarships. Two former Beaverton students earned Michigan BPA Scholarships: Kerri Petherbridge and Jarred Ewert.
