All about me
Hello, My name is Sally and I am a junior this school year. I was born here in Austin and have been here for the last 16 years of my life. I live with my mom and my 2 younger sisters and we have 2 dogs, my cat, 6 fishes, and a leopard gecko. I plan to become a Vet or Vet Tech and i am currently still taking the Agriculture pathway classes at Bowie. I do come out as shy from the first times you get to know me, but I do eventually come out as a pretty chill person to hang around with. I am currently working to get a car and to help myself get a show steer for senior year. Right now, I am focusing more on my grades and my attendance and hopefully get show chickens this year.
Why am I taking this class?
I signed up for Journalism 1 because I thought that it was a good class to take to learn some more skills for writing and editing. I hope to learn about all of the different modes and techniques to edit and write article type sections and how to add on to simple texts to make them better. I would also like to learn how to revamp my ways of writing and editing to improve my skillset.
My experience with digital media/journalism
I don't have any big experiences with digital media/journalism that I can think of. I do take a lot of nature and food photos with my phone camera and they do come out pretty good. I also know my way around how to use Google Drive stuff like slides, docs, etc. and I also know how to use Canva pretty good as well. I also do come up with stuff to write essays pretty quick and do enjoy thinking of things to write.
