Reading: Short Stories and follow up activities.
Your Reading assignment is posted in your Google Classroom.
This week's stories are below, however you are welcome to do any of the stories above your usual group.
Geronimo Stiltons - How does a Geyser work?
Famous Fives - What are Hurricanes?
Wings of Fire - What causes Rainbows?
- You will need to read your selected explanation, then create your own own Google slides for your follow up activities.
- Make sure you use a relevant picture for your title page, have headings on each slide, and lay it out just as you have seen with the short stories.
**If there is an activity you feel you can’t complete just using a device, you can do it on paper, take a photo, then insert the photo into your google slides answers.
Narrative writing. This week each student is going to write a story. They are encouraged to include a character and setting description to continue practicing those skills.
WRITING TASK:
You can choose to work by yourself for this task or with a friend or family member.
In your story, make sure to include a beginning, middle and end. There should also be a problem that needs to be solved.
You should include some of the things you have been working on in the previous weeks. Try to describe your characters and your setting- this is usually done at the start of the story.
When writing a story it is important to include paragraphs.
Once they have finished their task they should Turn In on Google Classroom.
This is the same activity as last week, if you have not completed it yet have a go this week. For those of you who have finished there is an extra task on Google Classroom.
