Local Curriculum
The purpose of this resource is to:
Give the St Teresa's School community general information about our local curriculum.
Support teacher mahi within this kaupapa (some links are only available to teaching staff).
We acknowledge those people and agencies who have worked alongside us on this journey.
Every effort has been made to ensure that all information is complete and accurate, and sources and reference materials are acknowledged appropriately.
This resource shouldn’t be used exclusively or in isolation to authentic engagement with mana whenua, and the school community but instead should provide an initial platform for processes and protocols.
Our Catholic Character is the framework within which our local curriculum is delivered. This is integral to everything that takes place in our school, or on behalf of our school and our community.
Our school vision is that by journeying through Year 1-8 catholic education at St Teresa’s School, our young people will be ready to:
Demonstrate excellence by participating fully in their own learning, as resilient problem-solvers and critical, creative thinkers.
Willingly work with others - actively listening, collaborating and contributing to shared successes.
Value, respect and understand their own wellbeing, skills and needs, and be willing to ask for help.
Demonstrate their faith by actively sharing what we value with our community
