Below you will find multiple sources of evidence indicating practice at the most effective level using a research‐based framework in planning and preparation as well as classroom environment and instruction.
The chart here displays my Measure of Teacher Performance levels from 2015 - 2018. As indicated by the chart, I have remained effective and/or demonstrated growth in all areas of my teaching practice.
The areas in which I have earned a developing rating (any score below a 3) are areas in which I have set goals and put in place an action plan to help improve my practice.
In response to my ratings, specifically the components in which I have been rated Developing, I consistently work through a cycle of reflection, learning, & action planning in order to help further my practice and grow as an educator. As indicated by these three recent observation reports, my cycle of reflection and action planning has proven to be an effective strategy that has enabled me to grow & excel in the areas in which I once struggled.

This is a sample of the unit planning that is done for each unit. Using backwards design and a collection of materials from TC & MSQI, I crafted this unit plan with the end goal in mind over the summer in preparation for the upcoming year.
Throughout the fall, as I developed relationships with my students, frequent and strategic adjustments were made to the unit plans, and consequently, our lessons plans to ensure my students needs were met and all students had access to the learning in the ways that suited them best. For example, my co-teacher and I collaborated to choose more engaging and culturally relevant texts based on student interests & reading levels. Pacing was also adjusted based on student's rate of understanding.
A sample of my thorough & effective lesson planning. We use this same template for all lesson planning. This particular lesson is from the first day of school & the Launch Unit for Reading & Writing Workshop.
This template was created by me and a small team over the summer that worked on curriculum development for all grades. We designed it so that it follows a backwards design format. We begin with our grade-level Common Core power standards, then create essential questions and long-term learning goals for students to work towards. Next, we identify our learning targets, which all aim to hone the identified and specific skills students need to master in order to meet those long-term learning goals.
