Every day during our summer pool season, thousands of visitors head to our city's free public outdoor pools. List of 8 Staten Island pools as well as free pools across the city.

Action for Healthy Kids is helping schools bring physical activity back into the school day. School Grants for Healthy Kids have been awarded in 12 states and are used for physical education equipment, indoor and outdoor recess, playgrounds and play space refurbishing, classroom energizers and brain breaks, walking and running clubs, and before/after-school programs that help students far exceed the recommended 30 minutes of physical activity per day in school and reach the total recommendation of 60 minutes of physical activity per day.
