The Young Adult Internship Program was designed recognizing that many young adults who are not working and not in school, already posses the basic skills needed to enter the labor market. Participants develop essential workforce skills through a combination of educational workshops, counseling, short-term paid internships, post-program follow-up services, and post-programs placement in education, advanced training, or employment.

The mission of the YMI Cornerstone Mentoring Program is to support youth in fifth through ninth grades during the transitions from elementary to middle school, and middle to high school, by cultivating positive personal relationships and community involvement.
