My Background
This is Mr. Brennan's fourth year as a teacher. He came from the San Juan Unified School District teaching Special Education. Mr. Brennan implements many strategies that he has used in his previous years of teaching in the Special Education classrooms, including incentives that range from individual to whole group recognition, small group teaching to further the education of students and target certain areas of strengths and weaknesses, and using a calm, yet firm, tone when discussing with a student about the choices they make when needing to discipline behavior. Mr. Brennan enjoys teaching, especially reading, where he will read a story that has a corresponding movie and discuss with the class things that were the same, and things that were different, using a ven diagram. Mr. Brennan also enjoys teaching science, and enjoys having the kids partake in hands on experiments to further their excitement in learning about space, sounds and light, and plants and animals. Using the Virtues Program, Mr. Brennan is educating his class with the importance of the virtues and how they should be aware of their impact in their every day life. Mr. Brennan is a member of the Knights of Columbus, as well as the occasional Flutist for the Monday Mass choir, and looks forward to educating the youth to become educated both in skills that they'll need and the faith that will keep them strong throughout their school life at St. Roberts.
