CHROMEBOOK AND iPAD USAGE IN THE CLASSROOM POLICY
In Lower School, educational games on iPads are permitted only as part of a designated learning center.
Students in fifth through eighth grades will not be allowed to use their Chromebook during "free time" in a class; they should have a book to read during "free time" in a class.
OVER-THE-COUNTER (OTC) MEDICATIONS
In accordance with updated governing body policy, the school clinic may no longer provide or stock over-the-counter (OTC) medications for students. If parents wish for their child to have access to OTC medications while at school, they must provide them to the clinic.
Parents may submit OTC medications (such as pain relievers or antihistamines) in a clear, one-gallon plastic bag, with each medication in its original, unopened, and properly labeled container. Parents must also complete the required authorization through Magnus Health before any OTC medication may be administered.
Only students with an approved classroom accommodation may use a fidget during instructional time.
All approved classroom fidgets must be:
Quiet
Small enough to fit inside a uniform pocket
Non-distracting to other students
Semi-liquid or liquid-filled "squeezy" fidgets are not permitted in the classroom.

Unexcused tardies are reflected in a student's classroom conduct grade.
A tardy is considered excused when it is supported by a doctor's or appointment note or when a late arrival has been approved by the school. Approved late arrivals may include circumstances such as medical appointments, emergencies, or unavoidable traffic delays that are communicated to the greeter.
For Middle School students, a classroom tardy occurs when a student arrives more than one minute after the tardy bell without prior permission from the teacher or without a pass from a teacher or administrator explaining the late arrival.
