In the Science Department we ran the trial for the school the implementation of SOLO Taxonomy as an assessment of student learning. This allows the students to measure their understanding or thinking. When used alongside a rubric helps the students know what their next steps are. This is a helpful cartoon which we have used to explain SOLO in detail to the students. On each of the Junior Science pages there are the Rubrics we use in our classes.
