On behalf of the children, staff and Governors, I welcome you to St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School.
I am so proud to be head of this caring, inclusive community of learners with a fantastic staff team, dedicated Governors, supportive parents and happy engaged children. Catholic education is about understanding and nurturing the whole child, spiritually, emotionally, socially and academically. I have had the privilege of working within the Southend Deanery Catholic Schools for over twenty years.
My vision for St Teresa’s is firmly rooted in my belief that every child is entitled to high quality education in a caring environment. As a passionate reader myself, I want to foster in all children a life-long love of reading.
Our ambitious curriculum is underpinned with opportunities to build resilience, take risks and ask brilliant questions. All children are unique and created in God’s image. All children should feel valued and respected. As citizens of the future, they must be made aware of the vital contribution they can make to society both now and in the future. We want our children to achieve their full potential and become productive, well adjusted and responsible adults.
Therefore, all staff at St Teresa’s endeavour to make our school a learning community; a place where children and adults work and learn together in a secure, happy and spiritual environment.
