If you are from the European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA), ensure that you apply for a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) from your national health authority before traveling to France. The EHIC is free of charge and allows you to access medical services, including consultations with doctors and hospital visits, during your stay in France. Make sure to carry your EHIC with you at all times.
If you are not an EU national, it is essential to subscribe to an international private health insurance plan before arriving in France. This insurance should provide coverage in both France and across Europe.
You may consider contacting our partner insurance brokers, Heyme and Studcorp. When reaching out to these brokers, mention that you are a Strate student to access reduced rates. Additionally, Heyme is currently offering a promotional campaign with a 15% discount. Please click here for more information.

Pandemic-Related regulations
In the event of a pandemic, students placed in quarantine may receive special accommodations to prevent the spread of illness (e.g., COVID-19) and protect others on campus. These measures aim to maintain educational continuity, ensuring that quarantined students have access to necessary resources.
Students must promptly notify the school of their health status and provide a medical certificate specifying the duration of their absence. Justification for absences may also include documents from the Agence Régionale de Santé (French Regional Health Agency), health insurance providers, or student health services.
We are here to support all students in achieving their educational goals, regardless of any challenges they may face.
