Summer Math Assignment

Summer Math Assignment

Proficiency in mathematics is extremely important. Math is a subject that builds from one grade to the next. Your ability to successfully master eighth grade math is directly impacted by all of the skills that you have learned in earlier grades. In order to learn algebra, functions, and other higher order skills, operations on whole numbers, decimals, and fractions are extremely important, as well as knowledge of geometric concepts. Practice is a key component to mastering all mathematic concepts.

Complete the Simple Solutions lessons that are provided in this packet. You should be familiar with most of the concepts that are presented in these lessons. Please refer to the Help pages in the back of the Simple Solutions book for helpful hints and explanations to help you solve the problems.

Please do not stress about these pages if you find that there are some concepts that are difficult. These pages are designed to allow both you and me to learn about your strengths and weaknesses in math.  I will address any difficulties that you have with the lessons in September.

Please bring the completed packet when you return to school. The due date is Tuesday, September 12th. We will begin reviewing these lessons during our first full week of school.
