Weekly Update

Welcome to 8th Grade

This week is the start of many exciting events that directly involve the Eighth Grade. On May 15th, we will celebrate our annual May Procession at 6:00 PM in Church. The Eighth Grade students should arrive at Church at 5:30 PM dressed in their summer uniforms with their graduation robes over the uniform. Students may leave their pin on the gown. However, students do not wear their stoles, medals, or caps to the May Procession. A letter concerning May Procession will be posted on Class Dojo and will be sent home to you on Monday, May 13th.

On May 17th, the Eighth Grade will have their Graduation Trip to Hershey Park. Permission forms were sent home to you on Friday, May 10th. A letter concerning this trip will be posted on class Dojo and will be sent home on Monday, May 13th.

As students are making their final decisions about the high schools that they will attend, there is no denying that graduation is right around the corner. With that being said, preparations are being made for the graduation dinner dance, one of which is the graduation presentation. Two of our parents have graciously volunteered to create this for our graduates. For this presentation, these parents need three pictures of your child, one as a baby or toddler, one in the early to mid school years, and one current picture. They have also requested that you send group pictures, such as communion, confirmation, class trips, etc. I will be giving you more information about this presentation on Class Dojo in the very near future.

If your child has received any scholarships or grants, please send a copy of the letter that states this to school. These awards are announced at graduation. I will be sending out a letter for you to fill out confirming the scholarships and grants that your child has received.

Have a great week!

I ask that you please send me a copy of any scholarship or grant that your child receives at school. We do announce these scholarships and grants at graduation. However, in most cases, the high schools or the organization issuing the scholarship or grant does not directly contact the school. Therefore, unless I receive official notification from the students, I am not aware that a scholarship or grant has been awarded to them.
