The audition form can only be accessed if you have a current SPPS e-mail address.

• Start learning the songs in this folder. Prepare well and memorize the lyrics. Remember that this is also an ACTING audition. Act while you are singing the song. You will be singing a capella (without piano accompaniment).
• Read this entire page and then fill out an audition form. You must also sign up for an audition time slot via the link within the audition form.

b) You will also learn and perform a dance combination taught by our
choreographer.
You will be in TWO slots on your audition date: 1 for singing and 1 for dance.
You should plan to be at the audition for between 60-90 mins.You MUST fill out an audition form AND sign up for an audition slot to secure your audition date and time. The link to sign up for an audition slot can be found within the audition form. If you forget to sign up for an audition time, you will not be guaranteed an audition slot.

HOW DO I SECURE MY AUDITION SPOT?
You will need to:
(1) fill out an audition form online. You need to complete the form and it MUST BE submitted by the time you audition.

(2) sign up for an audition slot to secure your audition date and time. The link to sign up can be found within the audition form. If you forget to sign up for an audition slot, you will not be guaranteed an audition time.

At your audition, you will sing one of the songs provided in the audition folder a capella (without accompaniment).
You will also be taught a dance combination by our choreographer that you will perform separately.
You will be in TWO slots on your audition date: 1 for singing and 1 for dance. You should plan to be at the audition for between 60-90 minutes.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT REGARDING CALL-BACKS?
After initial auditions are complete, some students will be invited to a second audition known as a call-back. You will receive a direct invite via e-mail from Ms. Gill if you are chosen for a call-back. At call-backs, students will be asked to sing specific songs and read for certain roles in the musical.
Requirements for those cast in the musical:
Cast rehearsals will begin on Thursday, August 15th, 2024.
Attendance at daily rehearsal is required.
You should expect to called for rehearsal for 4-5 hours each day from August 15th to 30th. We will likely be working M-F but some weekend time may be needed. Times are also likely during the day, but once the show is cast rehearsal days and times will be clarified.
Once the school year begins, you should expect to attend rehearsal M-F from 3:15-6:00pm from Sept. 3rd to Sept. 27th (note the change in time from previous years).
There will be TWO Saturday rehearsals (besides tech) on Saturday, Sept. 14th and Saturday, Sept. 28th, from 9:00am to 2:00pm. These are mandatory for all cast members.
Rehearsals from September 30th to October 11th are MANDATORY and will be from 3:15-7:00pm, along with an 8am-5:00pm tech rehearsal on Saturday, October 5th.
Dates for the musical are: Friday, October 11th at 7pm, Saturday, October 12th at 7pm, and Sunday, October 13th at 2pm.
You are required to stay for the mandatory strike of the set immediately after the Sunday show.
Make sure you detail ALL scheduling conflicts you may have on the audition form. ANY CONFLICTS NOT LISTED ON THE AUDITION FORM WILL NOT BE EXCUSED.
