Our AVID Site Team meets at the beginning of the year to set school-wide goals for all students at CASS.

Our goals for the 2023-2024 school year are:
Teachers will have access to discourse strategies that could be used in their classes.
All students will have access to a planner and other organizational materials needed for each class throughout the year.

Offering and strengthening AVID elective courses in grades 7-12.
Providing all staff with AVID training.
Utilizing WICOR strategies schoolwide, including the use of Focused Notes and providing ALL students with a planner.
Actively guiding students in post-secondary planning and creating more opportunities for college talk amongst staff and students.
Within our first 5 years of implementation, it is our goal to move from "AVID Implementation Expectations" to reaching the distinction of "Emerging AVID Schoolwide."
