Ms Abraham's Class
Ms. Abraham’s class opened this September and all the boys love it. They've been learning lots of fun things. They’re also building a nice garden area outside the classroom.
Junior Infants
Ms McVerry’s Junior Infants have really enjoyed preparing for their nativity play. They were excited for their parents to see them perform and visit the school. They also learned about small, medium and large in maths.
Ms Corr's Junior Infants have been learning their jolly phonics and have put in lots of work into preparing for the nativity play.
The Junior Infants also got a visit from Fran and the National Ambulance Service. They had lots of fun learning about the ambulance.
Senior Infants
Ms. Sweeney's Senior Infants and 1st Class used an Irish recipe to make muffins and wrote the recipe in Irish themselves! They have been singing songs and practicing for their Christmas Nativity show.
Ms.McEvoy had lots of fun baking cookies and they did very well preparing for the nativity play.
1st Class
Ms Kiernan's 1st Class learned all about space and teeth. They also have been learning about the library through Aistear and got to visit the library and read lots of books.
Ms Sweeney's Senior Infants and 1st Class have been learning all about teeth! They did a really cool science experiment to see what different drinks do to your teeth.
2nd Class
Ms Galvin’s 2nd class have been learning about Christmas traditions in India 🇮🇳 and have been very busy preparing for the Christmas carol service in the church.
Ms O’Brien’s 2nd class were learning about India and one of the boys parents came into the school to help the class learn about India. They also learned how to play the tin whistle and made pumpkins for Halloween.
3rd Class
Both 3rd Classes learned all about Mexico. They learned about Mexican food, history, famous places and some Spanish words. They had a Fiesta and got to eat nachos.
Ms Gillespie's Class were busy preparing for the carol service because they are the choir. They also learned Silent Night on the tin whistle.They are currently learning about the counties of Ireland.
Ms. Flanagan's Class learned how to sing the song Heaven by Niall Horan using Lámh. They also have been working with Mouse learning about nature.
4th Class
Ms Doyle's 4th Class love to do hockey with Anthony every Friday. They also really enjoy doing Christmas art. They are doing really well with long multiplacation.
Ms McCann's 4th Class visited a nursing home on the 18th of December to perform songs for everyone there.They also performed tin whistle at the carol service.
5th Class
Mr Manning and Ms. Carron's 5th Classes were invited to DCC's Winter Concert. Peadar Bates brought us on a history walk around Donabate and Portrane. They also went on a maths trail around Donabate village.
6th Class
Ms. Shelly’s 6th Class went to Kilmainham Gaol as they were learning about the 1916 rising. They also started rugby and the rugby coach even invited them to participate in a rugby blitz.
Mr Leen’s 6th Class have been learning about the interesting topic of World War 2 with a recreation of D-day. The students have also created Ancient Greece🇬🇷 projects.
