SOCIAL IMPACT RESOURCES

Social Impact Fund

What is it? The Social Impact Fund supports students in advancing their ideas into action by providing the resources needed to engage with stakeholders, build / test prototypes with community partners, and progress toward problem-solution validation

How does it work? Micro or Seed grants

  • Micro grants: For smaller expenses any point during the term up to $500 that might be encountered when exploring ideas - such as conference attendance, journal subscriptions, purchasing a web domain, developing marketing materials. Email Tania Del Matto for review & approval

  • Seed grants: Support activities to be undertaken in a 4-8 month timeline - such as conducting a needs assessment, building / testing a prototype, running an event. This takes the form of the Social Impact Showcase; a chance to pitch for up to $1,500 (stage 1) or up to $10,000 (stage 2) in front of a panel of community members
