Color Palette?

While still thinking about Panel 3, I thought I would look into the color palette for the overall piece.  I quite like this one I found online... I'll use it as an overall guide.  So off to the hardware store...

And here's what I chose:

I'll use "Thermal" for the overall panel color and then work the designs into it.  Also, I'm thinking about using black paint markers for the outlines of the main figures.  I'll need to test that that will look the way I want it to.

Tip I learned in researching: Art Nouveau artists would often use thick black lines around where you were meant to focus your eye... this usually was the face of the subject.  

I began painting the borders with "Thermal."  It will need a couple coats. 

After painting the first coat on the panels, I decided to find a stick-on wallpaper that would go into the recessed side of the panels.  After some researching online, I've decided on this design as it has birds (mine and Lilibet's favorite), strawberries (Magnus' favorite) and should match the color pallete well.
