Homicide at Heavensgate is a genre-bending, six-part audio drama blending classic murder mystery with a sleek, sci-fi twist—set during the grand opening of a luxury lunar resort. Written and directed by Richard C. Mills and produced by Sentinel Studios, the podcast has earned critical acclaim (4.6+ stars on Apple Podcasts) for its world-building, performances, and immersive sound design. With a concise format, rich setting, and an ensemble cast of strong characters, it’s primed for adaptation into a prestige mini-series for premium or streaming platforms.

The Series: 

At the grand opening of a luxury lunar resort, a guest is murdered. Trapped in an isolated, high-tech facility, two detectives must unravel a web of secrets—before the killer strikes again. Think Knives Out meets The Expanse. With a self-contained setting and narrative (six 30-min episodes), the story is easily adaptable into a 4–6 episode live-action series. Think Knives Out meets The Expanse, or And Then There Were None aboard a moon resort.

The Opportunity: 

This is more than just a podcast adaptation—it’s an opportunity to create a smart, stylish, highly marketable series at the intersection of three of entertainment’s hottest genres: mystery, sci-fi, and true crime. With proven creator talent, strong early reception, and a rich world that lends itself to both cinematic storytelling and brand innovation, Homicide at Heavensgate offers early partners a front-row seat to the next prestige breakout.

We are currently inviting aligned production, financing, and brand partners to co-develop the series and shape its path to distribution from day one. Early involvement offers access to creative input, brand exclusivity, and upside participation in a scalable IP right before it’s set to take off.

- $50,000    Foundation Operations
- $100,000  Creative Proof of Concept (POC)

Target Surplus:

In the event the target goal is surpassed, the excess funds will be distributed in the following way:

• 70% Project Fund (Discretionary Spending)

• 20% Foundation Operations

• 5% Showrunner Stipend

• 5% Charitable Donation
