Type One is a hybrid series that blends documentary, speculative fiction, and animated science fiction into a single interconnected story world.
The project is inspired by the ancient Book of Enoch and built around the idea that fragments of humanity’s true past may be hidden in mythology, suppressed history, and unexplored archaeological sites.
The series is anchored by the real-life research community at Cosmos University, whose work explores ancient civilizations, lost knowledge systems, and alternative interpretations of early human history. Their ongoing research and discoveries serve as the real-world foundation for the fictional world of the series.
Type One explores a simple but powerful question:
What if our oldest stories are not myth, but memory?
Type One unfolds across two parallel narratives that begin separately and slowly begin to influence each other.
The first is a live-action documentary storyline following a modern-day research team investigating ancient sites, lost texts, and unexplored historical anomalies as they attempt to reconstruct humanity’s forgotten past.
The second is an animated speculative fiction storyline set in a distant future, where a post-human civilization attempts to reconstruct the history of Earth after most records of humanity have been lost or intentionally erased. Using fragments recovered from an ancient satellite archive known as Enoch One, they begin to uncover stories of the Watchers, the Nephilim, and a forgotten human civilization that may have destroyed itself trying to transcend its limits.
As the series progresses, it becomes increasingly unclear whether the future is reconstructing the past, or the past is influencing the future.
The series is designed as a 10-episode hybrid season combining live-action documentary storytelling with animated narrative sequences, building a story that exists somewhere between history, myth, and science fiction.
Type One is designed as more than a series — it is an ongoing research project, story world, and interactive audience experience.
The series serves as a catalyst for:
An ongoing web series documenting real research and discoveries
A growing online community exploring the ideas and history behind the story
Interactive story elements and audience participation
A future real-world Enoch conference bringing together researchers, artists, and the audience
Immersive experiences, including exhibitions, artifact collections, and virtual production environments recreating the world of Enoch
The goal is to blur the line between story, research, and audience participation — creating a project that exists both as entertainment and as an evolving investigation into humanity’s past and future.
Interest in ancient civilizations, lost history, esoteric traditions, and alternative interpretations of early human history continues to grow globally, but much of the current content in this space lacks academic grounding and long-term world-building.
Type One is positioned to take a more grounded and structured approach by combining:
Real researchers and academic voices
Documentary storytelling
High-quality animated speculative fiction
Books and written materials
Live events and conferences
Interactive and immersive experiences
A built-in audience community
The project is based on an upcoming book series by a fiction author and nonfiction editor of the Book of Enoch, and is supported by an existing online community of more than 100,000 people already engaged in these ideas and topics.
Type One is designed as a long-term intellectual property and audience ecosystem that can expand across film, television, publishing, live events, and interactive media.
Type One is currently in development as a hybrid documentary and animated series, alongside an upcoming book series and ongoing community and research initiatives connected to Cosmos University.
We are currently seeking aligned creative, production, distribution, and strategic partners interested in helping develop and launch the series, the companion media, and the long-term audience ecosystem around the project.
