Post-Combustion
Post-combustion technology, which is the easiest and most widely used capturing method, capture CO₂ from flue gas generated by combustion, such as chemical absorption with solvent.
* Membrane model: involves passing flue gas through membrane modules to separate CO₂ from other materials.
Pre-Combustion
Pre-combustion technology involves removing CO₂ before combustion of the input air, either through partial oxidation of fossil fuels or displacement of natural gas, to generate hydrogen.
Oxy-Fuel Combustion
Oxy-fuel combustion method separates pure oxygen from the air and utilizes it in combustion with fossil fuels, allowing for easy capture of high-density CO₂ and decreasing its emission.
