CSS PROFILE

• Some colleges require this financial aid form.

• Whereas the FAFSA is the federal government’s analysis of your family’s financial circumstances, the CSS PROFILE is the individual institution’s consideration of your financial situation for the purpose of awarding aid.

• Go to www.collegeboard.org, scroll to the bottom of the page, and click on “CSS Profile”

• Click on “Participating Schools and Scholarships” to see which colleges require the Profile

• There is a $25 fee to submit the Profile to one college and a $16 fee for each additional school.

Please note that while submitting the FAFSA is optional, completing the PROFILE is mandatory for colleges that request it.
