The Stockpile Tuition Rewards® Program is a rewards program provided through a partnership with SAGE Scholars. With this program, Stockpile members with an active Family Plus membership plan automatically earn Tuition Rewards® points, which can be used for a discount on college tuition.
Go to www.tuitionrewards.com // phone number 1-888-222-0550.
You may see SAGE referenced as CTB in internal communications. This is because the full name of the LLC the program is provided under is SAGE CTB, LLC. However, we should use SAGE or SAGE Scholars in external communications.
We can send a back office ticket if the customer asks for a link for the list of colleges but we cannot send back office tickets for the total amount of their points
● Every point is equal to a $1 discount on college tuition
● There are almost 500 participating colleges and universities. A full list is available here. All of these are private institutions (no public colleges or universities participate in the program).
● Family Plus members with an active monthly plan earn 200 Tuition Rewards® points every month.
● Family Plus members with an active annual plan earn 200 Tuition Rewards® points every month, plus an extra 2,400 points upon sign-up and every time their plan renews. As of right now, Family Base members will not earn Tuition Rewards® points with their membership.
● Members may also be able to earn additional points through occasional marketing incentives. See below for more information.
● There is no max on the program side. See below for the max from the waitlist incentive
● Up to 25% discount per tuition bill. So, for example, you could save up to 25% on your daughter’s tuition and up to 25% on your son’s tuition as well.
● The 25% represents the maximum a participating college is obligated to accept, based on freshman year tuition and spread equally over four years (or five for co-op programs).
● For example, if the “list price” of tuition for a school is $40,000 per year when the student matriculates, members could save up to $10,000 per year (provided they earned the equivalent amount in points). Over the course of a four-year degree, that’s up to one full year’s worth of free tuition. The exact discount amount/percentage depends on the college and may vary.
● Tuition Rewards® can only be used for full-time, traditional, undergraduate education beginning with the freshman year at a participating private college or university.
● Additionally, in order to use Tuition Rewards® points for a particular student, that student must be registered in the program prior to August 31st of the year that they begin 12th grade. Students cannot earn or receive points after August 31st of the year that they begin 12th grade.
● Applying Tuition Rewards® should be thought of as part of the application process, not something that happens after acceptance.
● A student’s Tuition Rewards® must be submitted within 10 days of application to any participating college.
● All of this information is clearly outlined in the account creation email members will receive from SAGE after Stockpile sign-up.
● After signing up for a Stockpile Family Plus membership, Stockpile members will receive an email inviting them to register/create their account with SAGE. SAGE will send automated registration reminder emails to anyone who has not completed sign-up. We can choose a specific schedule, but the default schedule is 5 days, then 10, 20, 40, 60, 100, 150, 200, 260, 360, etc.
● Stockpile members will also receive email notification from SAGE when points have been credited to their account. These emails are automated and sent to members within 24 hours of posting.
Immediately after sign-up.
● Yes, right now, families can earn extra points by joining the waitlist for the new Stockpile app and by referring friends to the new app during the waitlist period.
Individuals who join the waitlist will earn 1,000 points when they sign up and pay for a membership. They can also earn 1,000 points for every friend they refer who signs up for the waitlist, provided both the referrer and the referee sign up and pay for a Stockpile membership after the new app has launched. // 30 day trial
● Yes. We plan to offer an incentive for the official GA launch. Details have not yet been confirmed, but Victor talked about offering potential customers an extra 2,000 Tuition Rewards® points if they sign up during the first month.
● For the next 18 months or so, we (Stockpile) don’t have to pay any more money to SAGE to give customers more points. Points are essentially an unlimited resource for us during that time, which means we will likely have more incentives in the months to come. We will keep the product team updated on these incentives during our weekly product-marketing meeting
● To start, points will be applied once a mere month, on the first of the month.
● Members will be prompted to add students to sponsor during the account creation process; however, they’ll be able to skip it and do it later. At the top of their SAGE account, there’s a section called “Your Sponsored Students” with a direct CTA to “Add a Student.”
● As long as the students sponsored are in a member’s immediate or extended family, there’s no limit.
● No. Points must be applied as tuition discounts through SAGE Scholars. They can never be awarded in cash
● No, members can divide their points among students they sponsor in whatever way they want.
● Phase 1: After a customer creates a Stockpile account, they’ll receive an email inviting them to create an account with SAGE. From their SAGE account, they’ll be able to track and redeem their points.
● Phase 2 (Future): After a customer creates a Stockpile account, they’ll receive an email inviting them to create an account with SAGE. They’ll be able to track and redeem their points from their SAGE account. However, they will also be able to see the total number of points they’ve earned, as well as any upcoming points they’re scheduled to earn in the Stockpile app.
