STMC's Music Department held a music showcase for inidividual's to perform their talents in music in front of audience.

On VSO's Day of Music, STMC’s Jazz A performed six dynamic pieces at the stunning Christ Church Cathedral. STMC’s Jazz Band A & B took the stage at the VSO for the Kiwanis Jazz Band Festival! On January 28th, STMC’s Jazz A teamed up with Vancouver College’s Jazz 10 and Jazz 11-12 for an after-school jazz clinical. Led by a skilled clinician, students from both schools worked on refining their pieces, improving technique, and enhancing their overall sound. The session was a great opportunity for collaboration, learning, and musical growth. A huge thank you to Vancouver College for hosting and to our clinician for the valuable guidance!

Christmas Music Day was a joyful celebration of music and community at STMC. The day featured wonderful performances by the Chamber Choir, Junior Choir, Elementary Choir, and Equinox, spreading festive cheer through their beautiful voices. The Junior Band, Elementary Band, and Jazz Band A added vibrant energy with their impressive musical pieces. Students showcased their hard work and talent, creating a heartwarming atmosphere for all. Saint Thomas More Collegiate hosted its "First Note Night" on September 23rd, 2024, an inspiring event aimed at introducing new students to the world of music. Under the leadership of band director Mrs. MacLellan, the evening featured a lineup of talented professional musicians who guided students in the elementary and school band programs. New musicians learned the basics of playing their instruments, gaining valuable hands-on experience and encouragement from experts. This memorable night marked the beginning of an exciting musical journey for many young students.

Saint Thomas More's pep band brought energy to the school with their spirited performances during the pep rally on Friday, September 13th, 2024. Playing small excerpts of popular songs, the band hyped up the crowd in preparation for the big football game. Their enthusiasm continued on Saturday, September 14th, during the homecoming festivities, as they energized the fans and players alike, creating an electric atmosphere to support the team on the field.
