EARLY CHILDHOOD PROGRAMS
INTERNATIONAL - ENGLISH LANGUAGE IMMERSION
Our three, four and five-year-old early childhood programs utilize The Creative Curriculum® to ensure our students' learning opportunities are maximized throughout the day. The Creative Curriculum®, a comprehensive, research-based curriculum, features exploration and discovery as a way of learning, enabling children to develop confidence, creativity, and lifelong critical-thinking skills. Classroom activities and teaching strategies are connected to research-based objectives for development and learning, enabling each child to find their own individualized path to success. The Creative Curriculum® is based on 38 learning objectives for development and learning that focus on all the areas that are most important for school success: social-emotional, cognitive, math, literacy, physical, language, social studies, science and technology, and the arts. These objectives are built into every activity that happens in the classroom, engaging children in purposeful play, building on their natural, curiosity and helping them to build skills of observation, connection, problem-solving, and communication. Our five-year-old classes build on the skills they developed in our pre-kindergarden program and continue to develop academic, interpersonal and socio-emotional skills that will help them succeed in elementary school and in all other areas of their lives.

THE CREATIVE CURRICULUM - Objectives for Learning & Development
In addition to our academic program, our early childhood programs offer students an array of physical, artistic and social-emotional learning opportunities as well. Our specials classes, including music, art and physical education (P.E.) give our students regular opportunities to learn new skills, develop healthy habits, and gain exposure to new areas of interest. Our After School Activities (ASA) program expands on this development by providing students with a variety of different activities throughout the year (see more about our ASA Program HERE). Additionally, our school-wide social-emotional learning (S.E.L.) program gives students the awareness and skills to understand themselves and to interact in a healthy way with the world around them (see more about our SEL Program HERE). This emphasis on holistic development prepares students not only for their future academic journeys but prepares them to be successful in all areas of their lives.
ELEMENTARY PROGRAM (1 - 5)
In our Elementary Program, students build upon the foundational literacy and math skills they learned in Kindergarten and begin to use skills of inquiry to explore the world around them in greater depth. In Grades 1 - 5, students progress in literacy from learning to read, to reading to learn. They acquire greater numeracy skills and can understand more complicated math concepts. They gain skills and knowledge in science and social studies that they will build upon in the middle grades. In special classes, elementary students are introduced to foundational art, music and physical education skills and given the opportunity to develop their own talents. They also grow in their ability to learn in a group environment, develop more complex social skills and begin to develop independent critical thinking skills. Read more about our CURRICULUM HERE.
MIDDLE SCHOOL PROGRAM (6 - 8)
Our Middle School Program continues to focus on important literacy skills including fluency, grammar, spelling, vocabulary, reading comprehension and writing across all subjects. In math, science and social studies classes, Middle School students begin to consider real world application of problem solving skills and utilize research, writing, and critical thinking skills as they develop their knowledge in these areas. In their special classes, students develop their skill and talents, with the opportunity to try new things and grow creatively in a safe environment. In Middle School, students begin to develop the organization, self-discipline, personal responsibility they will need to succeed in High School. Read more about our CURRICULUM HERE.
