Dr. Chris Lenina Peters joined St. Mary’s College in June 2016. She has worked in several institutions, including as Assistant Professor at Women’s College, Koti. Besides academics, she spends her time in service of the underprivileged. She was awarded ‘Jewel of Telangana’ by Nexus Éclat Honors Society International, Kansas, USA. Her strong points are her positive attitude, dedication and commitment to her students. In addition to a Masters in English and MBA-HRM, she has a Bachelors in Christian Studies from Serampore University and also a Certificate of Proficiency in Spanish from English and Foreign Languages University. She is currently pursuing her PhD in English from Osmania University. As a researcher she is interested in Self-help literature, and African-American literature. She has presented and published papers in areas of her interest. She offers a Certificate Course in Conversational Spanish (Level-I) at St Mary’s College.
