If your Chromebook is not working well with Zoom or other apps, please try the following actions below.
Use the Chromebook Simulator to help check for updates on your Chromebook: https://partnerdash.google.com/apps/simulator/chromebook#update-your-chromebook?l=en
Click on the Time on the bottom right corner of the Chromebook
Click the arrow next to the volume setting to open Audio Settings.
Adjust the internal microphone so that it is about the level as shown in the picture.
Check the camera settings to see if it is blocked on any websites:
Check the Flash settings for the camera:
Click on the arrow to the right of the microphone
Check the Microphone and Speaker settings
You should always use the internal mic unless you have a microphone connected
Check the other Audio Settings
If the receiving end thinks your microphone is too loud you can adjust the Zoom setting to enable/disable "Automatically adjust microphone volume".
Click on the Gear icon within Zoom.
Click on the Audio tab.
Check/Uncheck “Automatically adjust microphone volume”.
If the Chromebook is still not working after trying the above checks, Chrome OS is updated, and it's been restarted, please email Mrs. Keplinger.
