Google Translate or any similar online tool to complete assignments is not cheating if the work being translated is only to be used for research purposes such as looking up a word, phrase or conjugation. However, if you pass the translated work as your own work, such as translating the text or written piece word for word, then that is considered to be plagiarism, as that it is not your own work, resulting in no credit will be given. As mentioned, if you use this tool as a reference it is not cheating, but it is best to be on the safe side and ask for help.
